OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and hospice care. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

SKILLS

• Experience in home care or caregiving is preferred, especially in working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring assisted living support.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques and best practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to perform patient care tasks with empathy and respect for client dignity.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic cooking skills for meal preparation that caters to dietary restrictions or preferences.
• A commitment to cleanliness and maintaining a hygienic environment for clients’ well-being.

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space.
• Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including walking or transferring them as necessary.
• Monitor clients’ health conditions and report any changes to nursing staff or family members.
• Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction, particularly for those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
