Position Overview: As the Health Care Aide Lead, you will oversee the daily operations of our healthcare assistant team, ensuring high standards of patient care and support. You will play a key role in mentoring staff, coordinating patient care, and fostering a positive environment for both patients and team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification as a Health Care Aide in British Columbia (Registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry)
  • Valid Food Safety certificate.
  • Valid CPR or First Aid certificate.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support healthcare assistants in their daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident care to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for healthcare assistants.
  • Assist in scheduling and staffing to maintain optimal care levels.
  • Address patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
