HEALTH CARE AIDE REQUIRED FOR SENIORS’ LIVING FACILITY.

Green Acres Foundation is seeking a team-oriented multi-tasker who is flexible, enthusiastic, and has a positive attitude to help as a Health Care Aide at our facility in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Does this sound like you? If it is, you will perform duties that require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and independent judgement. We are a self-motivated bunch who finds coming to work fun, so strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST.

Basic responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assisting residents with the activities of daily living
  • Providing personal care to residents
  • Respond to emergency calls as required
  • Assisting residents with medications
  • Assisting with housekeeping, meal preparation/service, and recreational activities
  • Compete all necessary charting, paperwork, and reporting requirement in a clear, concise, and timely manner
  • Maintain a neat, clean, pleasant, home-like environment for the residents

Requirements for the position:

  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Completion of Bridging Modules for Health Care Aide Directory (if applicable)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English

First Aid Certification, Food Safety, and WHMIS Training is an asset.
