Société de développement économique de la Colombie-Britannique (SDECB) is a nonprofit organization mandated by the Government of Canada to provide employability services to Francophone immigrants and newcomers in British Columbia.
On Sept 18th, 2025, the SDECB is hosting an online recruitment event called “Speed-Jobbing.”
During the event, selected individuals will have the opportunity to participate in direct interviews with a BC healthcare employer seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. Positions available in various locations throughout the Okanagan (Pentiction, Kelowna, Kamloops) in group home and Home care settings .

QUALIFICATIONS

  • certificate from a college or university or equivalent experience (1-2 years)
  • First Aide Certificate
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams

DESCRIPTION

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) aide-soignant(e) dévoué(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe de soins de santé. Des postes sont disponibles dans plusieurs régions de l’Okanagan (Penticton, Kelowna, Kamloops) en milieu de foyer de groupe et de soins à domicile.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificat d’un collège ou d’une université ou expérience équivalente (1 à 2 ans)
  • Certificat de premiers soins
  • Excellentes compétences en communication pour interagir avec les patients, les familles et les équipes de soins de santé
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
  • Administer medications as directed by nursing staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas
  • Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with medical protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
    Prior to the interview, a series of prescreening will be performed to best suit the interests of the employer.
