JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for our clients. REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Strong IT skills to manage documentation and use healthcare software effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients’ needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Implement individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or care manager.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.
