We are seeking highly motivated Bank Healthcare Assistants to support our Ears, Nose & Throat service. A own vehicle is required to fulfill this role.
Comprehensive training will be provided, and previous experience is not essential. We prioritise attitude and enthusiasm for delivering excellent patient care.

Job Purpose
To actively contribute to patient care as a non-registered nurse within the multidisciplinary team in the service area.
Clinics operate from Monday to Sunday, running seven days a week, with various start times up to 6 pm. We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate individual to support the efficient functioning of these clinics and deliver high-quality care to all our patients.
Scope
The post holder will work flexibly across multiple clinics and sites, including ENT service. This will involve working with different teams and environments regularly.
Candidates must hold a clean driving license and have personal transportation to cover clinics across Greater Manchester, Preston, Chorley, and expanding areas.
The role involves delivering patient care alongside Consultants, Audiologists, GPs, and other Clinical Professionals.

SERVICE DELIVERY AND IMPROVEMENT

  • Play an active role in upholding and improving the quality of services delivered by the team, contributing to regular service reviews and audits.
  • Participate constructively in team meetings, contributing ideas for improving patient care, efficiency, and safety.
  • Embrace and implement changes in practice that arise from new evidence, policy updates, or service development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in response to evolving service needs, occasionally undertaking duties outside of core responsibilities to support the wider team.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure patients are fully informed and actively involved in decisions about their care, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment.
  • Carry out designated clinical tasks safely and competently, including observations, basic procedures, and patient support, within your scope of practice.
  • Record all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions clearly, accurately, and promptly in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote seamless care and mutual understanding.

  • Safely transport and handle equipment or assist with patient movement in line with manual handling policies and training, minimising risk to self and others.
