Our healthcare centre is looking for a dedicated, competent professional with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. The successful candidate for this position will enjoy working in a dynamic environment and will be responsible for performing various tasks including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, preparing equipment, and communicating with the rest of the health care team regarding patient health. The Healthcare Assistant reports to the Healthcare Administrator and works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals towards the common goal of providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and record information, such as a patient’s temperature, pulse and respiration rate, blood pressure, and other vitals.
  • Following doctor’s instructions.
  • Monitoring IV drips and medications.
  • Deliver messages and documents to appropriate staff members.
  • Communicate emergency information to emergency medical personnel.
  • Verifying insurance coverage for patients.
  • Organise medical documents and files for easy retrieval.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Health Care Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to develop and implement care plans
  • Familiarity with home care environments
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting
  • Valid driving license may be required for certain positions
