OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including home care and care homes. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
• A good command of English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
• Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varying needs of patients.

• Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
• Drive patients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring they arrive safely.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages patient independence and dignity.
