CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a care setting
  • Trained to use hoists and other moving & handling equipment
  • A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
  • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
  • Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of residents
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents and their families
  • Medication training is beneficial but not essential
  • A valid UK driving license is required as you will be expected to travel between different care clients
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for experienced Care Assistants to join a network of leading care providers in Derbyshire and surrounding area’s on a temporary basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

· Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
· Support mobility, transfers using appropriate equipment such as hoists or walking aids.
· Assist with feeding and ensuring residents receive the appropriate nutrition and hydration
· Record vital signs and update care records.
· Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well-being.
· Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with residents and families.
· Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
· Follow care plans and report any changes in residents’ conditions.
· Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
· Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Shift Patterns: Mornings, Afternoons, Long Days, and Nights
Pay Rate: £13.68 to £15 per hour (including holiday pay) dependent on client, location & shift type.
