HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT (HCA) – HOUSEBOUND AND CARE HOME PATIENTS

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HCA to provide high-quality, compassionate care and support to patients who are housebound or living in care homes, under the supervision of clinicians.

CONTRACT TYPE

§ Permanent Part Time: We are looking for someone to work with us for 28.5 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays)
§ Salary: £24, 937 to £26, 598 (Band 3)

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

§ You will ensure that our patients who are unable to attend the surgery receive equitable access to care.
§ Support routine health checks and carry our preliminary assessments as part of long-term condition review processes under the direction of the nursing and GP team.
§ Record clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, weight, urinalysis, diabetic foot checks and blood glucose monitoring.
This role involves driving a Suffolk GP Federation vehicle to undertake patient visits, so the successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license.
