SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Mapleton Court Care Home in Barnsley. In this important role, you will support our mission by delivering high-quality care and ensuring the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a care home or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of care plans and residential care practices.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for others.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal support.
• Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Engage residents through meaningful activities, companionship, and social interaction.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and promptly report any changes in residents’ conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control within the care home environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and fellow team members.
