    Job Summary: As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll work under the direct supervision of practice nurses, adhering to specific guidelines and protocols to assist the clinical team in delivering patient care programs.
Responsibilities

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform NHS Health Checks, ECGs, Urinalysis, and BP readings, etc.
  • Assist with coil fittings.
  • Provide smoking cessation support.
  • Undertake chaperoning duties.
  • Process and manage laboratory samples.
  • Ensure sterilisation, cleansing, and maintenance of surgical equipment.
  • Manage vaccine and stock ordering, rotation, and cold chain storage.
  • Prepare, clear, and restock consulting rooms and equipment, including assisting GPs with minor operations.
  • Support patient health and well-being assessments and promotion.
  • Perform specific delegated clinical activities for individual patients.
  • Assist with data collection related to health needs

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Confidentiality: Strictly maintain patient, staff, and practice confidentiality, sharing information only with authorised persons according to policy.
  • Health & Safety: Promote and maintain a safe environment, adhering to infection control, waste management, sharps procedures, and decontamination protocols. This includes safe specimen handling, PPE management, hand hygiene, and active identification/reporting of hazards. Ensure due regard for safeguarding children.
