Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in healthcare settings, ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals
  • Be able to work in a hospital setting meeting the needs of patients
  • Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care
  • Support patients with mobility and exercises as prescribed in care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and record-keeping

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including willingness to work shifts and weekends.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centred care often in a busy care setting.
