Description

We are seeking full-time Healthcare Assistants to join our team at Minana International T/A Good People. You will be employed directly on a full-time basis and assigned to work across various locations in Ireland.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

  • QQI Level 5 Qualification in Healthcare or Pre-Nursing (8 modules).

Experience Requirement:

  • Practical experience in a caring capacity (desired).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional, caring, and empathetic nature. * Comfortable working in challenging environments.

Career Level: Experienced (Non-Managerial)
Minimum Experience Required: 1 year
Skills: Communication, Manual Handling, Personal/Social Care
Competency Skills: Flexibility, Problem Solving, Teamwork
Hours per Week: 39 hours

Pre-Employment Compliance Requirements:

  • Provide complete employment and education history from the time of leaving secondary school (via CV and application form).
  • Ensure clarity regarding international police clearance (if applicable).
  • Provide identification of appropriate referees.
  • Explain all gaps in employment history.

References:

  • Three verified, up-to-date references required.
  • One from your current or most recent employer.
  • One reference dated within the last 6 months.
  • References must cover the last 5 years of employment.
  • For Healthcare Assistants:

A reference from a Nurse Manager with clinical and supervisory oversight is mandatory. International Police Clearance:

  • Required if you have lived or worked outside of the UK, ROI, or NI for 6 months or more since age 16.
  • Clearance must be dated after your departure from the country.
  • Must cover the full duration of your stay.

Responsibilities
  • Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, holistic care to residents.
  • Maintain residents’ hygiene and personal care needs to the highest standards while preserving their dignity.
  • Assist residents with eating and drinking according to their nutritional needs. * Support residents with mobility, using appropriate aids when necessary.
  • Escort and/or transfer residents as directed by nursing staff. * Provide support in End-of-Life care.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by nursing staff or management.
