EDUCATION

Support Workers or Health Care Assistants SW/HCAs must have a minimum of Level 5 qualifications in Care or Healthcare related fields.
Social Care Workers / Social Leaders SCW/SLs must have a minimum of a Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Social Care or Healthcare-related fields.
Occupational Therapist /OT Assistants OT/OTAs must have qualifications from an accredited OT/OTA program or other related Healthcare field for OTA candidates from an accredited institution.

REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATES

Experience: Previous experience as an Occupational therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Social Care Worker, Support Worker roles or equivalent is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, professional and communication skills to effectively interact with service users, families, and other healthcare team members.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to diverse service user populations and clinical settings. Communication, Creativity, People Skills, and Willingness to Learn. Decision Making, Flexibility, Leadership, Management, Teamwork.
Team Collaboration: A collaborative approach to working with Manager and other healthcare professionals.
Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards and a commitment to service user confidentiality.
Desirable: Relevant life experience would be an advantage.
A full, clean driver’s licence is desirable.
Flexible and adaptable nature.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities vary and depend on the roles you are applying. However, expectations involve the candidate creating an inspiring team environment with an open and transparent communication culture. Setting clear team goals and objectives.
Delegation of tasks and setting deadlines as appropriate. Overseeing day-to-day operations, monitoring team performance, and reporting metrics. Participating in team tasks and motivating and supporting other team members.
Discover training needs and apply training in practice. Listening to other team members’ feedback and actively participate in resolving any issues or conflicts. Recognise high performance and reward accomplishments as the post requires.
Collaborative Work:
Work closely with staff team to assist in developing and implementing individualised plans for service users.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Administer supportive therapeutic interventions as directed including exercises, activities, and modalities designed to improve service users’ functional abilities including but not limited to:
· Providing high level of clinical care to the service users
· Providing quality person-centred care to meet the needs of the service users in the community
· Promoting a caring environment for service users which is conducive to the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the service users, through highest standards of professional practice
· Providing care services at highest standards in given assigned tasks and duties.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service user progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information in accordance with regulatory standards.
Service User Education:
Educate service users and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to be continued at home, as well as assistive devices and adaptive strategies.
Collaboration with the Healthcare Team:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, occupational therapists and speech therapists, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to service user care.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor service users during therapy sessions, reporting any adverse reactions or changes in condition to the supervising Manager.
Rehabilitation Planning:
Contribute to developing long-term rehabilitation plans for service users with chronic conditions, working to improve overall quality of life.
Compliance with Policies and Regulations:
Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing practices.

In addition, records must comply with GDPR policy.
