An opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Assistant to join Orchid House Surgery in Ferndown for 18 hours a week.

Orchid House Surgery serves a practice population of c.9,000 patients. The Practice has a CQC rating of good and has a close working relationship with the Primary Care Network to improve patient care and provide an expanded clinical support team.
As a HCA you will be working with a friendly treatment room team including Practice Nurses and Phlebotomists. We are looking for a strong team player with professional standards to undertake a combination of phlebotomy and health care assistant duties, who will fully contribute to the provision of the best possible care for our patients. Your professional development will be supported and encouraged.

a. Perform venepuncture in accordance with practice protocols
b. Act as a chaperone as required
c. Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, weight, temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accurately if required
d. Healthchecks
e. B12 injections
f. Basic wound care
g. Diabetic checks
h. ECG
