OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• A good understanding of care plans and home care practices is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to drive is desirable for transporting patients as needed.
• Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and communication purposes is beneficial.
• A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

• Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals in following their care plans and maintaining their health and safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Help with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients to appointments when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities to enhance skills in IT and patient care.
