JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in home care and care home settings, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred, as you may be required to assist clients with transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
  • Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
  • Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes.
