JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering personalised care, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
• Strong IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using healthcare software.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• Maintain accurate records of residents’ health and progress, ensuring compliance with care standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on care and wellbeing.
• Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or training sessions.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
