JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained. You will work closely with patients to assist them with daily activities, monitor their wellbeing, and contribute to their overall comfort and recovery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a healthcare setting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare support are advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals and help with feeding when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Support healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development.
