JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and foster a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are vital for success in this position.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
• A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between locations.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with residents and team members.
• Strong IT skills to manage documentation and use relevant software applications efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents’ needs.

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and activities as outlined in their care plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Drive to clients’ homes when required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to road safety regulations.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
