JOB OVERVIEW

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals who still live at home. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, supporting care plans, assisting with shopping duties and appointments, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you serve. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This role is for working on an independent basis and you must hold a full driver’s license.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately.
  • This role is ideal for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others while working within a supportive team environment.
    Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

  • Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents or clients to the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all individuals under your care.
  • Drive to various locations if required, ensuring safe transportation for clients when necessary.
  • Engage with residents or clients through effective communication, fostering a positive atmosphere.
