The Role – What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be doing the heart-warming, rewarding work that makes a real difference every single day:

  • Helping residents with personal care (making sure dignity is front and centre)
  • Supporting mobility, transfers & encouraging independence
  • Assisting with meals (and celebrating when someone enjoys every bite!)
  • Keeping care plans accurate and up to date
  • Offering companionship, comfort, reassurance & lots of smiles
  • Observing and reporting any changes in residents’ needs
  • Light medication support (with training)
  • Escorting to appointments or fun activities
  • Following health & safety and infection control (obviously – we’re GOOD for a reason!)
  • Communicating brilliantly with residents, families, and your teammates

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting residents' well-being and ensuring their comfort and safety.   • Healthcare assistants with experience. However, full training is provided in all aspects of care, meaning that no previous experience in care is necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Care Assistant day-to- day tasks will include, assisting with safe lifting and moving of service users, administering medication, meal preparation and planning, enabling service users to achieve independence in accordance with their care plan; providing help and general companionship whenever necessary.
  • To enable service users to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible.
  • To participate as directed by the Domiciliary Care Services Manager / Supervisor in Induction Training and regular In-service Training programmes.
  • To maintain accurate, concise and timely records of service user care, diary sheets, time sheets and mileage sheets.
  • To participate in reviews of service users’ Care Plans as required.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in care / healthcare setting preferred but not essential - Full Care Certificate training will be provided.
  • Understanding of CQC fundamental standards, safeguarding, moving and handling, infection control, and person-centred care principles.
  • Proficient English language (reading, writing, speaking) to communicate effectively with service users, families and professionals and to maintain accurate care records.
  • Basic IT skills to update electronic care plans and daily records.
  • Compassionate, reliable and committed to maintaining dignity and independence of service users.

Pay: £12.82 per hour
