All patients are treated with dignity, respect, involved in decisions at all stages of their treatment and care and the team strives to achieve what matters most to the patients.
We are looking for dynamic, passionate and motivated health care assistants willing to continue to expand and develop their own skills and knowledge while supporting the patients and the team
The team work Shift pattern (long days and night shifts).

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

Working under the direct supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse to support and assist the senior team members in the provision of a high quality standard of care and the promotion of physical, mental and emotional health to individuals and client groups.
To be an effective member of the Multidisciplinary Team carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care in the support of the senior team member. The post holder is responsible for their own practice, working within the defined limits of competence and within the scope of the role. The registered nurse retains accountability for the care delivered by the HCA.

ADMINISTRATION AND CLERICAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive, signed and contemporaneous records according to SDHC procedures
  • Take and record telephone messages, respond and liaise appropriately
  • Manage stationery and documentation supplies
  • To be responsible for maintaining data entry and other record keeping e.g. recording mileage and annual leave on staff databases
