Position: Health Care Assistant (HCA)
Location: UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Reports To: Registered Nurse/Healthcare Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients by assisting with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Certification in Health Care Assistance (such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Compassionate and caring nature with a strong commitment to patient welfare.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Physical stamina to perform caregiving duties effectively.
  • Willingness to undergo training and development programs.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Support patients with mobility and movement, including transferring and positioning.
  • Assist in feeding patients and monitoring their dietary intake.
  • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Observe and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the nursing staff.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Assist with medication reminders under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
  • Ensure patient comfort by maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow infection control and health and safety protocols.
  • Assist with documentation and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Support healthcare professionals in implementing patient care plans.
