JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our team. As a Health Care Assistant you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their day to day care, and ensuring this is done with compassion, kindness and respect. We are seeking individuals who have a can-do attitude and genuinely want to make a difference to other peoples lives.

EXPERIENCE:

· Knowledge of using Nourish would be great, but not essential as full training will be provided
· Basic IT skills are required to maintain records and using healthcare systems
· A background in a previous care setting is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
· Excellent communication skills in English, ensuring effective interactions with residents, staff and professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on their needs, progress, health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of individual care plans.
  • Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used safely and maintained properly and effectively
  • Accompany and assist residents to appointments out in the community.
  • To demonstrate person centred care and promote independence
  • Carry out light domestic duties, including laundry and clearing up after mealtimes
  • To report any concerns or issues to senior staff
  • To help serve food and assist residents with eating and drinking.
  • Follow risk assessments and care plans at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment at all times by following regulations, policies and procedures.
  • To ensure that records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
  • Assist with end of life care for residents when required
  • Organise and encourage residents to participate in activities inside and outside of the home
