HEALTH CARE COORDINATOR CAMP LEADERSHIP U/U2 C5 TEXAS IS HIRING!  We are searching for an outstanding individual to join our Summer 2025 program team as the Health Care Coordinator at our our first and second summer experiences, Camp Leadership U and Camp Leadership U2. This position begins on July 13-August 1, 2025. C5 Texas changes the odds for high-potential youth by inspiring them to pursue personal success and preparing them for leadership roles in college, work, and their communities. We are a dynamic youth development organization uniquely positioned to provide youth from risk-filled environments with a comprehensive curriculum focused on leadership, character education, college and career access, and community action. Our curriculum is based on an experiential learning model, delivered through a combination of immersive summer experiences, weekend programming during the academic year, and mentoring for five years from the end of 7th grade through high school graduation. The Health Care Coordinator is responsible for providing first-aid and nursing services and for monitoring health and sanitation procedures throughout camp. The health-care coordinator instructs staff in first-aid procedures including those related to protection from pathogens in bodily fluids, provides for special-medical needs, educates campers and staff in accident/illness prevention, makes sure medications are safeguarded and administered, and keeps accurate records. The health-care coordinator is generally on-site when campers are in session and is responsible for orienting their backup(s) when they are absent. Specific Responsibilities Include: Provide first aid care for campers and staff Oversee the administration of medications to campers and staff Coordinate visits to a physician when needed Monitor health and cleanliness standards Organize paper work and maintain file organization Help provide adequate physical health conditions for all Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills: Valid Texas valid nursing license (RN, LPN/LVN) Certification needed mandatory CPR/AED for Professionals (BLS) and First Aid School nursing, youth experience required, Camp experience a plus.
