QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Level 2 or above English/literacy qualifications
• Level 2 or above Maths/numeracy qualifications
• Degree or equivalent qualification in early years or a related area
• Recognised full teaching qualificaiton or be working towards
• Have experience of working with children age 0-5 years
• Able to evidence successful experience of teaching, training or assessing groups of students
• Sound grasp of relevant teaching strategies and techniques

• Carry out formal scheduled teaching on programmes ranging from level 1 to 5
• Undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role to groups of students in order to maintain high achievement rates.
• Prepare delivery plans, sequenced learning plans and learning materials.
• Mark students’ work and carry out internal quality assurance.
• Work as part of the team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programmes.
• Maintain appropriate College records, and the follow the College Quality processes.
• Participate in self-assessment procedure in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
• Carry out student reviews and tutorials.
• Contribute to curriculum development
