Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Health Care Food Services Supervisor to join the Food Services team working out of Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be self motivated and able to work both independently and in a team setting. They will also have a strong work ethic that allows them to oversee daily food services to ensure a safe and respectful environment for staff, patients, residents, families, and visitors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Graduation from a recognized (2) two-year program in Food Service Supervision plus (1) one year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Food Safe Certificate 1.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

  • Ability to supervise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
