Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Health Care Operations Specialist, Health Information Technology (HIT) position is responsible for providing technical knowledge to physician membership and their staffs in the area of health IT, and medical practice management. This position will also be required to provide technical knowledge support to PAMED staff across all departments: membership, communications, legislative, regulatory, specialty societies, and county executives. Finally, this position will research and analyze topics as they emerge, and create products and services, as directed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Research, analyze, and respond to technical inquiries from physician members, practice administrators or other physician agents including, but not limited to: a) Health Information Technology b) Electronic Medical Records c) Regulatory Compliance d) Coding e) Credentialing f) Other Payer-related Processes 2. Research and analyze federal and state regulations on health IT, physician reimbursement, or health care delivery, as directed. 3. Provide technical knowledge support to PAMED staff across all departments: membership, communications, legislative, regulatory, specialty societies, county executives, and products and services. 4. Serve as a resource for technical knowledge to fellow department co-workers in sharing and coordination of overall activities and to meet department goals. 5. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship within the payer community. 6. Provide written content for various PAMED publications, newsletters, website, presentation materials, educational material, and products and services. 7. Represent PAMED at various stakeholder/outside organization meetings. 8. Present/public speaking at both PAMED sponsored and non-PAMED sponsored events. 9. Actively assesses and improves contributions to company culture by practicing advocacy meaningfully, encouraging and respecting individuals' ideas and experiences, elevating colleagues' confidence to bring their whole and best selves to work, and navigate all communication based in active listening and thoughtful dialogue. ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE: Assist with coordination of other Health Care Operations, Physician Support and PAMED initiatives that may be requested or assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skill/Education/Knowledge 5 years of technical and administrative management experience in Practice Management and/or a medical facility, with technical experience preferable Associate/Bachelor degree preferred Requires an solid understanding of IT interoperability technical standards including HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and DaVinci Well developed writing and presentation skills, excellent phone presence Demonstrated public speaking experience Goal-oriented team approach required; multi-tasking required, ability to meet deadlines, strong attention to detail Skilled in Microsoft Office Products including TEAM, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Valid state issued driver's license SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to communicate with and work cooperatively with many different individuals, both internally and externally.
