Exciting Opportunity: Band 3 Health Care Support Workers – Diagnostic Imaging We are currently recruiting Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to join our dynamic team within the Diagnostic Imaging Departments at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, with cross-site rotational opportunities across the South-West Sector of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
This includes Gartnavel General Hospital, Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital, and the Institute of Neurological Sciences. As a valued member of our team, you will support Radiographers, medical, and nursing staff before, during, and after a wide range of imaging examinations, including Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, and MRI.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality direct patient care
  • Assisting with imaging procedures
  • Maintaining associated equipment
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Supporting departmental operations as directed by the Superintendent RadiographerA good understanding of confidentiality and the ability to follow NHS policies and procedures is essential.

  • All successful candidates will be required to complete the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Care Support Worker Induction and in-house training to achieve the necessary competencies for the role. Please note that PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland clearance is required. While previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, it is not essential.
    This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week), worked over a 7-day rota, covering a 24-hour service, 365 days a year
