JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in need, particularly those requiring additional support. This position involves working closely with residents to ensure their well-being, promote independence, and assist with daily living activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of dementia, mental health, substance care practices is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with Residents and their families or support workers
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Basic understanding of case management principles is beneficial.
  • Certification in first aid is desirable but can be obtained post-employment.

    We are recruiting for vacancies on either Days (0700-1900) or Night shift (1900-0700)

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support serving the residents nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences prepared by our Kitchen team on site.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans that meet the specific needs of each resident.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration (Training provided)
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to management.
  • Engage with residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations. .
