Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, assisted living, and patient care, and Challenging Behaviours.
You will have the choice of picking up shifts at any of the following locations:
IV2, IV3 (Inverness) and Invergordon
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in their homes or care facilities
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support individuals with challenging behaviours
- Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals, and cook for residents
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual’s condition
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support workers to ensure the best possible care for individuals
Skills:
- Experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home, or similar settings
- Proficient in providing patient care with empathy and respect
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and techniques
- Ability to handle emergency situations and administer first aid when necessary
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
