Position Title:  Health Care Worker - Thompson House Residential Care Unit    

Classification: IN37 - IN39                               

Salary per hour:  $30.00 to $34.60 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 56 hours per fortnight

Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2025-2027.

Role description

Dhelkaya Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Health Care Workers to become part of our supportive team at Thompson House Residential Care Unit in Castlemaine. 

As a Health Care Worker, you will be required to work as a productive member of a care team to provide person centred care. It is expected the Health Care Worker will work within the limitations of their role and will provide a competent level of personal care, cleaning and food services for residents. The HCW works under the direction and support of the supervising RN at all times.

About you

• Certificate III or IV - Ageing Support (CHC43015) or Certificate III - Individual Support (CHC33015)
• Experience or willingness to gain experience in age care
• Knowledge of aged care standards
• Basic assessment and reporting skills
• Understanding of the concept of person-centre care
• Good communication skills
• A preparedness to engage in coaching students and new staff
• Commitment to positive working relationships
