The purpose of the ACAS is the assessment of the needs of frail elderly clients and their carers in public and private hospitals, the community and in residential aged care facility [RACF] settings within NSLHD and organisation of support services, as appropriate.
The Clinical Team Leader will provide expert clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and undertake clinical assessment and delegation functions at one or more sites as an expert ACAS clinician.
A key function of this assessment process is the determination of the client’s eligibility for approval to access aged care services as set out by the current legislation.
