Description:
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1.Develop, implement, and drive the execution of a nutrition and allergen management strategy for the Health & Dietetic function, that is aligned to EKFCs business strategy and vision. This framework should be modelled on global best practice with measurable outcomes which complement the objectives of the company.
2.Proactively engage with senior business stakeholders to identify business areas where improvement to H&D service is required or anticipate changes to business demands. Ensure that H&D rotation program and service development initiatives are in line with these business needs. Act as an escalation point to the H&D Manager where issues with service delivery arise.
3.Provide high level consultancy services to Commercial Joint Ventures (e.g. Kosher Arabia, Bustanica), and define the level of H&D support services required by these businesses.
4.Analyse and interpret international food policies and standards. Remain informed of changes to food legislation at a national and global level, and act as the companys industry expert on these matters. Proactively engage with other industry experts on a routine basis to keep abreast of changes to nutrition legislation and seek to influence accordingly.
5.Define and implement a robust governance structure for the nutritional data and allergen information provided by the H&D function, to ensure compliance with global standards and best practice working methods throughout H&D. Ensure timely, clear and effective communication of any changes to nutritional data management across the business at all times.
6.Research and analyse new and emerging nutritional technology, to ensure better automation and lean working methods within H&D. This should include optimisation of the existing Nutritics software, and on-boarding of new product specification management software.
7.Develop and foster working relationships with Dubai Municipality, QSAI and GSO to keep abreast of emerging legislation, and proactively plan where changes to legislation are expected.
8.Apply an evidence-based, data driven approach to defining the H&D departmental budget requirements, and implement lean working methods to ensure appropriate and efficient staffing of the team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Education Qualification: Master*s Degree in a Nutrition or Food Science related subject Recognised Management / Leadership qualification Certifications/Licensure (Preferred) Work Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in managing a food nutrition department. Demonstrable experience of service improvement and innovation Experience in large scale Catering Industry (preferred) Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of local and global Nutritional and Dietary Guidelines
2. In-depth knowledge of food allergies and specialised diets
3. Ability to implement evidence-based Allergen Management Systems across multiple business areas
4. Knowledge of Food Service Operations, including menu design, production, food safety, HCAAP
5. Ability to think strategically.
6. Able to prioritise complex activities which require forward planning and project management skills.
7. Leadership skills and ability to understand team dynamics.

Responsibilities:
To develop and lead a high performing, delivery-driven centralised nutrition team. The H&D Sr Manager will be responsible for overseeing the H&D nutrition services provided across all of EKFCs business areas, including the Airline and Airports Catering Division, Commercial Division, Central Commissary Unit, Food Point, DWC and Joint Ventures. The job holder will implement governance frameworks aligned to local legislation. They will be expected to collaborate closely with senior business leaders to identify innovative opportunities that support in the companys growth, diversification and revenue generation. The job holder will be accountable for introducing strategic improvements to the H&D team, such as improved automation of H&D data, and ensure that lean working practices are established that support to support existing and emerging business needs.
