Position #: 198252 Expected Start Date: August 24, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: MHAS Community Recovery Adult Services City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Mental Health Home Health Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: August 24, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Health Educator - Senior $39.44 to $48.226 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Health Educator Senior is accountable for providing the following education and training services for MHAS: Education and training coordination and research; program development, training program implementation and delivery; mental health and addiction consultations; public presentations in addition to brief counseling and liaison activities. The incumbent will ensure that the services provided are: consistent with current evidence based practice and practice based evidence in the areas of mental health and addictions, education and training and Saskatchewan Health Authority philosophy, objectives and standards. The incumbent will also be responsible for delivering material updates and refresher training to basic trainers of the Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS) within community Mental Health and Addiction Services throughout the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The incumbent will also provide clinical support, and consultation on PCOMS provincially. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience:   * Two years' experience in the use of PCOMS system * Training and experience in providing clinical support, consultation & training to other mental health professionals using PCOMS   Education: Degree in Human Services Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Demonstrated knowledge of current Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Services Models.  * Demonstrated competence in both PCOMS clinical and administrative staff supervision   * Experience providing adult clinical training. * Sound knowledge of evidence based research. * Sound knowledge of the education system, and integrated human service delivery systems. * Individual, family and group workshop presentation and counseling experience.  * Ability to be self-directed, creative, collaborative, and demonstrate leadership within a multidisciplinary team.  * Effective communication skills conducive to public presentations and program development/delivery. * Knowledge of research methodology and intermediate computer skills, * Ability to work with individuals and groups with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
