This position applies principles of adult learning to provide education, research and quality client centered care. The incumbent provides visible, proactive leadership and promotes delivery of client centered care through application of professional standards and lean principles. In consultation with the director and managers, the individual assesses learning needs, plans, implements and evaluates education activities/programs. The incumbent uses a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to individuals or groups. The position will have specific responsibilities related to clinical knowledge, professional development and electronic systems. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Five (5) years clinical experience in the specific department/area Education Bachelor Degree in a related Health Science or Social Science discipline Licenses Registered Social Worker (RSW) Knowledge and Abilities Has demonstrated ability to coach ,mentor and develop others Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution skills Ability to use various clinical/health assessment tools Strong interpersonal skills Demonstrates ability in teaching, facilitation and group activities Ability to integrate knowledge and experience to enhance clinical practice.
