Major/Essential Functions
Works with the Regional Director and other grant staff to identify educational needs and opportunities in the community.
Assists with grant-related projects including planning, scheduling, and training to efficiently implement grant initiatives.
Serves as a liaison between the grant and external groups to streamline communication.
Develops and reviews educational materials and other documents as assigned for grant-related activities.
Delivers live or virtual educational activities and maintains files for all projects and events.
Represents the grant by providing information and education to the community during health fairs, virtual events, or other outreach activities for community members or other health care professionals.
Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EPs Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Values leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an approved accredited university in a field relevant to the work being conducted
At least one year of work experience demonstrating use of behavioral modification techniques in a group and individual setting
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience demonstrating health education practices, techniques, and principles.
Two years public health experience; knowledge of modern health care technology, the methods, resources and standards thereof.
Performs advanced, specialized work in the planning, conducting, and training of health professionals and community members to address children’s environmental health risks associated with COVID-19 and other environmental hazards.
Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on the accomplishment of assigned objectives and the overall effectiveness of the project.
