About the Role:

Prairie Crest Community Hospital is committed to providing reliable, patient focused healthcare services to the Lethbridge community. We are looking for a Health Information Coordinator to support the accurate management, organization, and coordination of patient health information across clinical and administrative departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Health Information Coordination: Coordinate the collection, organization, verification, and maintenance of patient health information.

Records Management: Review patient records for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.

Information Requests: Process authorized requests for patient information while following applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Data Quality: Identify documentation discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve information issues.

System Support: Maintain accurate information within electronic health record and hospital information systems.

Team Coordination: Work with clinical and administrative teams to improve health information workflows and documentation practices.

Reporting: Prepare routine reports and assist with health information audits and quality improvement activities.

What We Are Looking For?

Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in health information management, medical records, healthcare administration, clinical documentation, or a related healthcare information role.

Education: Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Health Records, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Technical Skills: Experience with electronic health records, Microsoft Office, healthcare information systems, and database or records management platforms.

Privacy Knowledge: Understanding of patient confidentiality, health information privacy, records management, and secure information handling.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clinical and administrative teams.

Organization: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple information requests and priorities.

Mindset: You are dependable, organized, detail oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate and confidential patient information.

Pay: $3,693.00-$5,000.00 per month
