About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused HIM or Clinical Coder to join our collaborative Health Information Services team. Working across our Malvern and Brighton campuses, you’ll benefit from the variety of hospital-based and corporate-style environments.
Cabrini operates nearly 800 beds across three campuses, offering an extensive and diverse casemix that includes acute specialties, rehabilitation, and mental health. This is an excellent opportunity to work with industry-leading systems and a highly experienced team, all within a secure and supportive organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensuring medical records are complete and accurate, including following up on missing documentation or clinician queries
  • Coding patient records in a timely and accurate manner, applying Australian Coding Standards
  • Participating in coding audits and continuous improvement initiatives with support from our Coding Educator
  • Maintaining accurate data input in WebPAS and other hospital systems, including clinical fields such as ventilation hours and admission weight

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification
  • Experience in a similar role
  • A passion for precision and a drive to improve your coding skills
  • Solid understanding of the Australian Coding Standards
  • Great attention to detail and strong time management abilities
  • A team player who embraces new challenges with a positive outlook
