Permanent and fixed term part-time or full-time opportunities Flexible working arrangements, including working from home Your Role Accurately and efficiently code inpatient episodes to meet internal quotas and support external submissions. Participate in quality activities, monthly coding meetings, and ongoing professional development. Collaborate with your team to continuously improve coding standards and processes. Data reporting (VAED, VEMD or ESIS) Other ad hoc duties as required. Classifications for this position will range from Health Information Manager Grade 1- 2 JA3 – JB1 ($74,172 - $103,724 per annum pro rata) Why Choose SVHM? You will be supported in your role by a friendly, experienced, supportive team of 30 HIMs/Clinical coders, coding educators and coding auditors. Successful applicants will have opportunity to work remotely or from our lovely department on vibrant Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. Your Contribution Bachelor/Master’s degree in Health Information Management or recognised Clinical Coding qualification Minimum of 2 years’ experience tertiary hospital casemix Eligibility for full registration with the Health Information Management Association of Australia (desirable) Previous experience in statutory reporting (VAED, VEMD or ESIS)(desirable) Understanding of the Victorian Admitted Episode Dataset (VAED), Policy and Funding Guidelines and Criteria for Reporting (desirable) Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in use of Solventum Codefinder software A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain What We Offer A healthy work/life balance encouraged.
