About the role An exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of the Mater Refugee and Multicultural Health Service and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our multicultural communities including people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. The Health Integration Manager is a part time role with option for increased hours based on funding. It is a unique position established to support MRMHS achieve strong internal and external partnerships that promote equitable health care and system reform. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex projects, co-designing with community and diverse stakeholders, strong communication skills including capacity to prepare high level briefs for a variety of audiences and proven record in evaluation and data analysis.  Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation [https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/key-superannuation-rates-and-thresholds/super-guarantee] and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 [https://account.smartsalary.com.au/benefits-available?ercode=MML]  + access to many staff benefits!  [https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater]  What you’ll be doing This role is responsible for fulfilling the following accountabilities: * Contribute to MRMHS strategic initiatives to strengthen integrated care pathways for people from refugee and multicultural backgrounds. * Identify system gaps, duplication, and opportunities for improved coordination across primary care, Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), NGOs, settlement services and community partners. * Build and maintain positive, effective and meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support health system integration and ensure alignment with community needs and system-wide priorities. * Establish and strengthen strategic linkages and partnerships with key stakeholders including health & settlement service providers, peak bodies, community organisations, policy makers, government and non-government bodies, & other potential funders. * Ensure prompt and effective resolution of relevant issues and feedback, escalating matters appropriately as required. * Contribute to the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of key projects/initiatives across MRMHS. * As part of the leadership group, actively contribute to a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture. * Monitor emerging trends, risks and opportunities in refugee and multicultural health, and contribute to relevant high-level briefs, submissions, and strategic advice for Mater and external partners. About you * Essential – Undergraduate qualification in Health Promotion, Health Management or relevant discipline. * Desirable – Post graduate qualification in Health Management. * 7 years minimum experience of working in the delivery of integrated care programs spanning primary, secondary and tertiary settings. * High level communication skills, oral & written, and negotiation skills with experience in managing complex partnerships and especially within culturally diverse contexts. * Proven leadership in addressing health system barriers through effective change management skills including strategic thinking, consultation and policy development. * Proven commitment to access and equity in health underpinned by knowledge of the refugee and migrant context. * Excellent knowledge of the Australian health care systems. * Experience in working across different sectors including government, non-government and community. * Identify with, and articulate, the philosophy and ethical standards of the Sisters of Mercy as it relates to the Mater Health Services. * Ability to operate effectively in complex, evolving environments with competing priorities and stakeholders. * Demonstrated competence using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications, design programs, webpage /content management programs. * Current driver’s license. * Limited out of hours and interstate work may be required in this position. * Lived or professional experience that supports strong cultural understanding of refugee and multicultural communities (desirable).
