Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Health Partnerships Manager furthers the mission of the Houston Food Bank (HFB) and will manage, plan, implement, evaluate, and expand all facets of health partnerships for HFB, across the community and with partner organizations. This role identifies, develops, and manages health partnerships with partner and community organizations that can leverage food resources to help families achieve long-term health and financial security. This role monitors community satisfaction with programming and utilizes data to measure the efficacy of programming and expansion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or University in Public Health, Health Care Administration, Social Science, or closely related field. Masters degree preferred
  • 2-3 years in healthcare or program management, 3-5 years preferred
  • 1-2 years of community-related or human services experience
  • 1-2 years of management experience
  • Experience developing and delivering comprehensive presentations for leadership audiences

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to travel to other sites for business.

Responsibilities:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages one (1) or more direct reports by providing guidance and/or oversight to employees. Develops and maintains roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Practices performance management in support of employee development, and perform administrative duties associated with being a people manager. Responsibilities include interviewing, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems. Responsibilities also include sponsoring and participating in and/or supporting project teams sponsored by other management team members.
