Job Title: Health Pathway Navigator, Dari & Pashto
Status: Temporary, Full-Time (Union Position)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (9 am - 4:30 pm)
Hours: 35 hours/week
Wage: $29.17 - $33.49/hour (Starting at $29.17/hr)
Grid: 12
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: March 31, 2026

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:

  • Degree in Health Sciences or related field;
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training & experience;
  • Exceptional written and verbal English language communication skills;
  • Written and verbal fluency in Dari & Pashto is required;
  • Understanding of the issues newcomers and vulnerable minority populations face pre- migration and during settlement;
  • Extensive knowledge of health systems and programs in the Lower Mainland;
  • Demonstrated understanding of GBA+ and ability to incorporate it into client care;
  • Demonstrated understanding of social determinants of health and how these impact racialized immigrant and refugee populations;
  • Demonstrated ability for active listening, and building trust with all stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for clients needs and resources internally and externally;
  • Demonstrated understanding of cultural and traditional health practices and beliefs of the communities being served;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; take initiative, solve problems and work as part of a team;
  • Good knowledge of standard office equipment and software applications;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule;
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license and access to personal vehicle.
