JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Contract position requiring your own ABN and Insurance
• CV/Resume including 2 x references
• Minimum 2 Years Classroom Teaching or PE Teaching in Primary School or Accreditation with Yoga Alliance with minimum 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training
• Expereince teaching children yoga and mindfulness
• Working with children clearance
• Current First Aid/CPR
• Own transport

THE ROLE

Your Role as a Life Skills Group Teacher:

• Deliver high quality Health and PE curriculum based programs into Primary schools as a contract teacher for Life Skills Group.
• Follow the Life Skills Group Program Unit/Lesson Plans; making adjustments to suit the school and student needs and abilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, always meeting and aiming to exceed customer expectations, by proactively soliciting feedback to ensure continuous improvement during the program.
• Represent the company values in all dealings with our partner schools; with professional presentation and positive role modelling
• Value continuous learning and improvement by committing to personal and professional development
• Utilise both verbal and nonverbal communication strategies to manage classrooms

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• Experience as a classroom teacher or Experience teaching yoga, mindfulness, PE
• Experience working with children
• Ability to utilise a unit program guide to structure and adapt lessons to the learner
• Excellent organisational skills to manage up to 7 x 45min classes per day of 30 students
• Motivation to deliver exceptional customer service and build positive connections with school personnel
• Self-driven and motivated to study and learn all areas of our curriculum in readiness to deliver our program of lessons
• Own transport and willingness to travel to schools in and around Melbourne or NSW, surrounding suburbs and regional cities
