What You’ll Do: This position is Unclassified per ORC 124.11(A)(9) and 5120.382. • Plans, implements, directs and controls all functions necessary for a centralized quality health care program for the Ohio Reformatory for Women. • Acts as liaison between DRC and community health care providers (e.g., other state, federal and or local agencies) • Coordinates all off-site and on-site health care negotiations • Testifies at legislative or other public hearings • Conducts/attends staff meetings and training. • Prepares correspondence (e.g., reports) records analysis/assessments as required • Develops budgets and/or directs development of contracts with health services providers or oversees development of grants • Drafts administrative rules and/or legislation • Evaluates effectiveness of programs in meeting established goals and objectives • Monitors and coordinates activities with state and/or local health departments. • Works closely with physicians, staff and department heads to effectively meet a balanced health care program at the Ohio Reformatory for Women • Performs other related duties and security functions as required. 6 yrs. exp. in planning & administering health program(s). -Or completion of graduate core program in field of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, social work, nursing or other health-related field or public policy & management/public administration or business administration; 3 yrs. exp. in planning & administering health program(s). -Or 12 mos. exp. as Health Planning Administrator 3, 65247. -Or 2 yrs. exp. as Health Planning Administrator 2, 65246.
