leaders with accurate information to eradicate stereotypes and discrimination.

POSITION OVERVIEW

MACC is seeking a Health Policy Research Analyst to contribute to our advocacy and
research efforts, particularly in addressing Islamophobia and systemic inequities within the
Canadian healthcare system. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in
health policy, public health, or social sciences, and a passion for social justice and equity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, or a related

field.

  • 2+ years of experience in health policy analysis, research, or advocacy (preferred).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare systems, equity issues, and anti-racism

frameworks.

  • Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Knowledge of Islamophobia and systemic discrimination, particularly in healthcare, is an

asset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo, or similar tools).
