Under the general direction of the Health Program Manager II (HPM II), Diversion and Community Restoration, the Health Program Manager I (HPM I) coordinates and directly supervises two Health Program Specialist Is and two Associate Governmental Program Analysts in the Diversion and Community Restoration Programs Unit. Under the direction of the HPM II, the incumbent will oversee operations for the Felony Mental Health Diversion (Diversion) program, Community-Based Restoration (CBR) program, and Community Inpatient Facilities (CIF). Some statewide travel will be required.
Willing to consider a Staff Services Manager I (Supervisory). Duties will reflect the appropriate position candidate is hired into.

Working Conditions

• This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California’s in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
• The State’s Commute Programs provide bicycle, mass transit and vanpool incentives to eligible state employees. The State’s mass transit incentive pays 100% of the transit pass up to the IRS maximum of $325 per month in 2025.
• Travel is required approximately up to 10% of the time.
• DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11-floor high rise building.
