POSITION TITLE: Health Promotion Representative  DEPARTMENT: Health and Mental Health & Addictions  CLASSIFICATION: MGO-04 SALARY RANGE: Starting at $53,060.00 Per Annum  POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Permanent  LOCATION: Saskatoon ACCOUNTABLE TO: Health Promotion Manager Brief Overview:  Métis Nation-Saskatchewan (MN-S) is the government that represents Métis citizens in Saskatchewan, and MN-S Ministry of Health and Mental Health & Addictions is responsible for improving the health and well-being of Métis citizens in Saskatchewan.  Reporting to the Health Promotion Manager, the Health Promotion Representative provides coordination, administrative, and project support to the Health and Mental Health & Addictions Department. The role assists with the delivery and promotion of Health and Mental Health & Addictions programs and services and supports a variety of departmental initiatives as directed.  Key Responsibilities:  * Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of health promotion activities and departmental projects.  * Support the development and implementation of health promotion workplans under the direction of the Health Promotion Manager. * Facilitate respectful, reciprocal communication with Elders, Knowledge Keepers and citizens.  * Help track project activities and support basic reporting on progress. * Coordinate the logistics and scheduling of monthly virtual Tea and Talks sessions, including guest coordination and meeting setup. * Assist with community engagement activities by preparing materials, supporting presentations, and attending events as required. * Help prepare and distribute health promotion resources and tools for community events and Regional offices as needed.  * Draft and format health promotion materials using approved messaging and source materials. * Support the distribution of health information through print and digital channels, including posters, pamphlets, social media, and other tools. * Assist with preparing presentations and documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Support relationship-building efforts with internal teams and external partners. * Participate in team meetings, working groups, and committees as assigned. * Provide general project and operational support to the department. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills: * Knowledge of Indigenous health systems, community engagement, and Métis culture. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities with guidance. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, cross-cultural environment. Qualifications: * Education in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Indigenous Studies, or a related field is considered an asset; other combinations of relevant work and volunteer experience will be considered. * Experience or exposure to working with Métis or Indigenous communities, including community-based or Indigenous health project coordination, with an understanding of the cultural, social, and healthcare needs of Métis citizens across the lifespan. * Familiarity with Métis culture, history, and governance preferred. * Strong organizational and communication skills.
