About the Role As a Health Protection Manager, you will support the Council in delivering its statutory health protection responsibilities, helping to protect the health of local communities. You will play an active role in preventing and responding to communicable diseases, outbreaks and wider public health risks, while contributing to emergency preparedness and resilience. You will coordinate and manage a programme of health protection work, ensuring priorities are delivered effectively and risks are identified and escalated. Working closely with partners including UKHSA, NHS organisations and local authority services, you will support incident response, provide assurance to vulnerable settings, and contribute to reports, briefings and risk assessments to inform decision-making.
